ISLAMABAD: On the retirement of chief of army staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani , Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif is appointed as new Chief of Army staff. President Mamnoon Hussain on the advice of Prime minister Nawaz Sharif and uses of their constitutional power of article 243/4 (a) and 243/4 (b) make such appointment.
